What is Bike & Water Flow?

Bike & Water Flow is an innovative sports equipment rental project in Ferragudo. Customers can choose to visit our rental shop in Ferragudo or book online, with delivery and pick up at the customer's desired location within our Delivery & Pick Up areas.

How can I rent Bike & Water Flow equipment?

Bike & Water Flow sports equipment can be rented in person at our shop in Ferragudo, or through the website www.flowferragudo.pt, through the Bike & Water Flow social networks, by e-mail or directly by telephone.

What are the payment methods accepted by Bike & Water Flow?

Bike & Water Flow accepts electronic payments through the website, such as debit/credit cards. On-site payments can be made in cash or by MB WAY.

A bank transfer option is also available upon request.

How do equipment deliveries and pick ups work?

We offer delivery services within the areas of Ferragudo, Alvor, Carvoeiro, Praia da Rocha, Parchal, Estombar, Sesmarias, Portimão city and Lagoa city. Delivery is free on orders over €120. For orders below €120, a delivery fee of €20 applies.

If you're located outside these areas, feel free to contact us for more details and delivery quotes.

The delivery time must be agreed with the customer, at least one day before the first rental day, and must be between 9 am and 12pm.

The pick-up time can be agreed with the customer during the last rental day, and must not be later than 6:30pm.

In which areas of the Algarve are deliveries and collections made?

Delivery and pick up of the equipment at the place designated by the customer, as long as it is within the established area:

Ferragudo, Alvor, Carvoeiro, Praia da Rocha, Parchal, Estombar, Sesmarias, Portimão city and Lagoa city.

Do the rentals include insurance?

Equipment rental does not include any liability or personal accident insurance from WaterFlow Explore. The client assumes total responsibility for damage caused to the equipment, third parties, and themselves during the rental period.

What is the minimum rental period?

The minimum rental period is 1 day, as listed on our website. One day corresponds to the period between shop opening and closing hours.

For 24-hour rentals, an additional fee of €10 applies to electric equipment and €5 to non-electric equipment.

Half-day rentals are only available for kayaks and stand-up paddle equipment.

When can I book?

You can book at least 10 hours in advance of the booking period and less than 12 months in advance.

  • Reservations made more than 12 months in advance will not be accepted. Please contact us directly.
  • Reservations made less than 10h in advance will not be accepted. Please contact us directly.

Will I receive a receipt after my reservation?

Yes, after making your reservation on our website you will receive a confirmation e-mail with all the details of the reservation and payment.

Can I extend the rental period after I get the equipment?

Yes, you can extend the rental period. Just contact us and we will check the availability of the equipment for the desired period.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel your reservation. Cancellation of reservations up to 48 hours before the start of the rental is free of charge. For cancellations less than 48 hours in advance, 100% of the reservation amount will be charged.

Can I rent equipment if I am a minor?

Minors can rent equipment from Bike & Water Flow. However, when the equipment is delivered, a responsible person must be present, of legal age, with a valid identification document and must sign the Liability Term for the equipment rented by the minor.

Is there a deposit for the rental of equipment?

Bike & Water Flow operates under a trust-based rental model that does not necessitate a deposit. However, clients assume full responsibility for any damage, loss, or theft of rented equipment.

Bike & Water Flow reserves the right to retain customer data until the equipment is inspected and to contact customers in case of any divergence or damage to the equipment. Customers will be contacted and responsible for payment for damaged equipment.

Is there any assistance during the rental period?

Feel free to use any nearby workshop for assistance.

Assistance for equipment is available exclusively during operating hours and subject to availability. For locations within 15 km of our shop, assistance is offered at a fee of 15€ per equipment, plus the cost of consumables.

How should I proceed in case of damage / theft / loss of equipment?

  • Clients are strictly responsible for immediately notifying Bike & Water Flow of any damage, theft, or loss of equipment to facilitate resolution.
  • Clients bear full financial responsibility for all costs related to repair or replacement of damaged equipment, calculated at the current retail price available at local stores.
  • In cases of theft, Bike & Water Flow will cooperate with law enforcement to pursue recovery; however, clients remain fully liable for the total retail value of the stolen equipment as specified in these Terms and Conditions. Payment is mandatory regardless of the outcome or duration of any investigation.
  • Clients must reimburse Bike & Water Flow the full retail price for any lost equipment, based on local or reputable online retail prices. This obligation is unconditional and must be fulfilled promptly to ensure replacement of the equipment and uninterrupted service to future customers.

The values of the equipment are available for consultation at the end of the Terms and Conditions.
